flash, elearning, random thoughts
I’m a Flash/eLearning developer in Charlotte, NC. I currently work at Bank of America as the Enterprise Learning Lead Technologist. I graduated UNCC in December 2000 with a double concentration in graphic design and illustration.
My first exposure to computer based art was with ANSI BBS graphics and Adobe Photoshop 2.5 in 1994. This was also about the same time that I had my first internet account. I was a member of several computer art groups and ended up in iCE Advertisements.
I started working in web/multimedia design in 1996 with Director and Lingo. Moved to HTML in 1997 and started dabbling in Flash and Actionscript in 1999 with Flash 4. I was using XML and Javascript to create rich client side apps but I got tired of all of the browser quirks and moved to all Flash in late 2003.
I’ve worked in e-learning development at Duke Energy, Wachovia, Hewitt Associates and now Bank of America. I’ve created HTML/Javascript and Flash WBT templates that work with both AICC HACP and SCORM 1.2 standards. I’ve even written two proprietary elearning authoring applications. My wife’s name is Casey, my daughter’s name is Sophia and my son’s name is Gabriel.
